Privacy Policy

Otty is built to be offline-first. Your terminal sessions, commands, output, files, and settings stay on your device.

What we don't collect

• We do not collect, transmit, or store the contents of your terminal sessions, your keystrokes, your files, or your command history.
• No account is a must to use Otty.

What leaves your device

• Update checks. Otty may contact our update server to check for new versions. The request includes only what's needed to offer the right build (such as the app version and CPU architecture). You can disable automatic update checks in Settings.
• Downloads. When you download Otty or an update, the download host receives standard web-server request data (such as your IP address), used only to serve the file.

Optional, server-backed features

Future features such as Data Sync, Remote Control, and Otty AI necessarily send data to our servers in order to work. These are opt-in. When you enable one, we'll explain exactly what is transmitted and why, and you can turn it off at any time.

Third parties

The website may use privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics to understand traffic. We do not sell your data.
