Otty

Otty is a modern cross-platform terminal emulator. Native rendering, intelligent panes, and a configuration file that gets out of your way.

This site is the user documentation. If you're new, head to Getting Started. If you're looking for every available knob, see the Configuration Reference.

Highlights

  • Native performance. GPU-accelerated rendering — Metal on macOS, DirectX on Windows. Smooth scrolling, ligatures, true color, inline images. No Electron.
  • Panes that work like you think. Tabs, splits, file and folder panes — all first-class. Drag, drop, recombine, and reopen exactly where you left off.
  • Built for code agents. First-class support for Claude Code, Codex, and OpenCode — run them side by side, watch every task, and pipe terminal output straight into the chat.
  • Yours to shape. A Settings panel for every option, themes you can swap live, and one config file that hot-reloads the moment you save.
